Head of Finance - Philippines

About the role

Timeo-Performance is looking for a Head of Finance for its Philippines business. The role works very closely with the Country Head Philippines and acts as a business partner, balancing the commercial focus with analysis, risk control and internal controls. It reports on a dotted line to the regional CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team across the Philippines entities
• Ensure compliance with local and IFRS rules, and deliver financial results on a precise monthly timeline
• Work with IT on ERP implementation and introduce accounting software for new businesses
• Manage commercial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, and analyse variances
• Prepare detailed financial reports and statements, lead monthly financial reviews, and design financial systems and models
• Handle short- and long-term planning, cash flow planning and internal controls
• Support costing and contracts, and assist with transfer pricing and tax compliance
• Interface with auditors, the company secretary, banks, lawyers and government authorities

Required profile

• At least 12 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, retail or an MNC environment; manufacturing/retail experience is an advantage
• At least 7 years leading a direct or dotted reporting team, handling a business of around PHP 800 million
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or MBA, or equivalent; CPA certification
• Strong commercial business experience and ability to act as a business partner

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Philippine financial reporting standards and tax legislation
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Think Cell
