Government Affairs Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Government Affairs Officer to join B. Braun’s Philippines team. In this role you will act as the strategic link between the company and government bodies, shaping policies that support innovation, patient access and sustainable growth in the medical‑device sector.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments affecting medical devices.
• Engage in advocacy and build ethical relationships with government agencies, regulators and industry associations to influence policy outcomes.
• Develop advocacy strategies aligned with corporate goals and public‑health priorities.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and ethical standards in lobbying and policy‑related activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Regulatory, Legal, Market Access teams, patient groups and NGOs.
• Prepare policy communication materials such as briefs, position papers and presentations, and provide administrative support to the Government Affairs Manager/Head.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, International Relations or a related field.
• Solid experience in public policy formulation or healthcare advocacy, preferably within the medical‑device, pharmaceutical or broader healthcare sector.
• Strong understanding of legislative and healthcare regulatory processes with the ability to analyse complex policy issues and develop actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• High ethical standards, a strong compliance mindset and willingness to travel and engage with stakeholders at various levels.
