General Accountant

About the role

The Finance team is seeking a General Accountant to support tax and regulatory compliance while providing day‑to‑day assistance to the Finance Manager and broader finance department. This role ensures accurate filing of tax returns, prepares financial schedules, and handles various ad‑hoc finance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• File and submit corporate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, withholding tax, income tax, final tax, DST, etc.) on time.
• Assist with reportorial requirements for PEZA, BOI, SEC, and other government agencies.
• Liaise with authorities for business permit renewals.
• Prepare company books of accounts for BIR filing.
• Generate financial statement schedules to support month‑end close.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks as needed within the Finance Department.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role; audit firm experience preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective time‑management, high energy, and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
