About the role
Under the direction of the Financial Reporting Manager, the Accountant will maintain and control the General Ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with GAAP and providing accurate financial information.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and reconcile client accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies between claim and financial systems.
- Close out relationships with terminated clients, return escrow balances, and make necessary journal entries.
- Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Finance teams to implement process changes and resolve cash accounting issues.
- Prepare banking activity reports and management summaries of reconciled transactions.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least one year of accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Highly analytical, detail‑oriented and an independent problem solver.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Experience with EPM/Smartview or similar reporting tools.
