Financial Markets Client Control Senior Specialist

About the role

ING's Financial Markets Client Control (FMCC) department sits within Financial Markets Business Services (part of ING Wholesale Banking) and serves clients across 27 countries through a Centre of Excellence in Amsterdam and execution hubs in Bratislava and Manila. As a Senior Specialist, you will act as the main contact for Financial Markets and Global Treasury front offices, ensuring client compliance with financial market regulations and supporting business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain contact with Financial Markets and Global Treasury front office desks via email and MS Teams.
• Coordinate offboarding and post-trade monitoring for active clients.
• Act as the main point of contact for front office, sales, hub and back-office teams such as Compliance and KYC.
• Own client onboarding and its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (KYC, MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, Dodd Frank, etc.).
• Manage client maintenance and check trading requirements (KYC, MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, Dodd Frank, CDD, LEI, ESR).
• Keep stakeholders informed on request progress and help diagnose, prioritise and resolve technical or functional issues raised by Sales and Front Office.
• Take part in FM-related innovation and change projects and propose improvements.

Required profile

• Fluent English, verbal and written, with experience in an international environment.
• Experience in client communication.
• Previous experience with MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, Dodd Frank or similar regulations is a significant advantage.
• Proactive, team-oriented, client-focused, able to work with people at all levels and to negotiate.
