Finance Transformation & Operational Excellence Consultant

About the role

The Finance Transformation & Operational Excellence Consultant supports the MGS Transformation and Operational Excellence Leader for Finance, Actuarial and GWAM Tower in delivering process and performance improvement projects. The role works closely with the Transformation & Operational Excellence Finance, Actuarial and GWAM Tower Director.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver operational excellence projects covering efficiency, accuracy, productivity, timeliness, CSAT, tNPS, utilization, cost reduction, risk management and more.
• Lead process automation, AI-based solutions, process redesign, documentation and change management, including operational standards, training and skills verification, system enhancements and quality controls.
• Run discovery sessions, gather data and draft process flows using BPMN, applying Lean, Six Sigma DMAIC, PDCA and Design Thinking frameworks.
• Use AI and automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI and Power Automate, and set up project cadences, governance meetings and RAID logs.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, track project benefits and document performance improvements.
• Act as an ambassador for the Operational Excellence culture, advise operations leaders on the GBS framework and share best practices in the GBS Operational Excellence Community of Practice.

Required profile

• Experience in Finance and Accounting or a related role, preferably in Global Business Services, Shared Service Centers or BPO settings.
• CPA is an advantage.
• 3 years of Project Management, Business Analysis, Transformation or Change Management experience.
• Lean certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt with multiple project experience.
• At least 5 years combined in Finance Operations, with experience in project management, process improvement, automation, transformation, consulting, quality, reporting, change management, data analytics or business analysis.

Required skills

• Knowledge of finance and accounting processes and concepts such as accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting.
• Business analysis and process documentation skills, including BPMN.
• Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and tools such as Smartsheet and JIRA.
• Desired: UiPath, Blackline, Cadency, Salesforce, Concur, Alteryx and AI solutions in finance and accounting.

Working arrangement is hybrid.
