Farm Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Farm Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of electrical and electronic systems across our farms. This role combines preventive and corrective maintenance to keep machinery, equipment, and control systems running efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on farm electrical systems, process controllers, and related equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring, appliances, fixtures, and electronic components using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctions with test equipment (mega‑ohmmeter, voltmeter, clamp meter) and resolve issues promptly.
• Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components; install ground leads and power cables.
• Place conduit, pull insulated wires, and complete circuit installations.
• Monitor electrical load to prevent exceeding maximum thresholds.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, ensure compliance with ISO 9001:200 and 5S standards, and suggest Kaizen improvements.
• Provide on‑call support during off‑hours and assist other farm locations as needed.

Required profile

• Technical background in electrical or electromechanical maintenance.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and respond to emergencies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to safety protocols.
• Willingness to work on‑call schedules, including weekends and holidays.
