Facilities Technician

About the role

Texas Instruments is seeking a Facilities Technician to support engineering and maintenance activities across its semiconductor manufacturing facilities. The role involves construction, design, specification, startup and operation of mechanical, chemical and electrical systems, as well as tool installation.

Key responsibilities

• Respond quickly to critical situations, assess conditions, and troubleshoot system components.
• Identify failure causes, determine corrective actions, and implement them promptly.
• Review and improve maintenance procedures and ensure proper documentation.
• Draft, update and enforce standard operating procedures (SOP) for related systems.
• Provide technical support for the 24‑hour operations team, including after‑hours call‑ins.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in a technical field or a degree in Industrial Technology with an Electrical specialization.
• Ability to read, understand and update blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to handle after‑hours call‑in situations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, SAP and AutoCAD.
• Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters and ohmmeters.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and test electrical circuits and panels.
