Director, Stewardship

About the role

The Director, Stewardship will lead Glass Lewis’s growing Stewardship team in Manila, delivering high‑quality ESG research and managing engagement programmes for institutional investors worldwide. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape the strategic direction of the team while ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Manila Stewardship team, ensuring timely delivery of ESG research and engagement services.
• Develop and implement the team’s strategic roadmap in alignment with global client needs.
• Manage large‑scale engagement campaigns on behalf of institutional investors, from planning through execution and reporting.
• Coordinate cross‑regional collaboration with research, product, and client‑service teams.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with institutional clients, understanding their stewardship objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in ESG research, stewardship or responsible investment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of leading large or rapidly growing teams in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of ESG themes such as climate change, natural capital, human rights and corporate governance.
• Experience in a client‑facing role serving institutional investors.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
