DevOps Engineer – AWS & GitLab CI/CD

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this intermediate‑level position you will own the design, implementation, and optimization of our AWS cloud environment while maintaining robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, Auto Scaling, Load Balancers).
• Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS SAM or CDK.
• Implement AWS security best practices (IAM, security groups, compliance monitoring).
• Monitor performance with CloudWatch, X‑Ray and third‑party tools; optimize cloud costs.
• Create and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, automated testing, security scanning and quality gates.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment strategies, logging, alerting and incident response.
• Support containerization with Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/EKS.
• Document architectures, runbooks and disaster‑recovery procedures.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure or site reliability engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services and architectural patterns.
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD (YAML pipelines, runner management).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar).
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Good scripting skills (Python, Bash or PowerShell).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, DataDog, etc.).
• Knowledge of networking, security and compliance concepts.
