Country Head for India

About the role

We are seeking a Country Head to lead and scale our B2B e‑commerce business in India. Reporting directly to the founders, you will own the full P&L and be responsible for expanding operations from Kolkata to the rest of West Bengal, East India and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership for the India business, including revenue, cost, margin and working‑capital management.
• Build and scale warehouse and last‑mile delivery operations, managing a fleet and a growing workforce from ~50 to several hundred.
• Acquire and retain Kirana store customers across target geographies.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships with FMCG companies and create trade programs that generate revenue.
• Hire, lead and develop teams ranging from warehouse staff to city managers and functional leads, fostering a high‑ownership culture.
• Coordinate with the parent company’s finance team on reporting, planning and controls.
• Execute geographic expansion, standing up operational, acquisition and procurement footprints in new regions.
• Localise product and technology solutions built at the parent level and feed ground‑level insights back into the roadmap.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a business unit with full P&L responsibility.
• Strong background in scaling warehouse, logistics and last‑mile delivery operations.
• Experience managing supplier relationships in the FMCG sector.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead large, cross‑functional teams.
• Comfortable making autonomous decisions in a fast‑moving environment.
