Control Room Operator (Pooling)

About the role

The Control Room Operator (Pooling) is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of major and minor equipment across the receiving, batching, grinding, mixing, pelleting, fat‑coating and bagging sections of the plant. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the operator ensures high‑quality feed production while meeting the plant’s quantity and efficiency targets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the warehouseman to schedule raw‑material deliveries and operate the computerized receiving system, preventing overflow, intermixing or clogging.
• Operate the computerized batching system, monitor weighing, grinding and mixing processes, and adjust formulations in collaboration with QA and micro‑technicians.
• Prepare run tickets, generate batching reports and provide feedback to maintenance on any equipment abnormalities.
• Maintain pelleting and fat‑coating equipment, verify process parameters, and adjust settings according to product formulations.
• Ensure continuous material flow by monitoring raw‑material availability and supervising the transfer of material to pelleting bins.
• Submit shift reports on raw‑material receipt and production performance to the Plant Supervisor.

Required profile

• Ability to follow instructions from the Plant Supervisor and collaborate with warehouse, QA, maintenance and micro‑technology teams.
• Attention to detail to avoid material overflow, intermixing and equipment issues.
