Contracts Lawyer

About the role

Harbor is looking for a Contracts Lawyer to strengthen its consulting delivery team in the Philippines. The role sits within the Business Operation Solutions (BOS) group and supports clients in the legal, professional, and financial services sectors by reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts under U.S. commercial law frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Apply playbook standards to review, redline, and edit contract language.
• Identify contractual options and strategies to resolve negotiation roadblocks under U.S. legal frameworks.
• Liaise with client in‑house counsel for contract approvals and facilitate negotiations.
• Communicate contractual risks and obligations, including those under U.S. law.
• Manage a pipeline of contract reviews and provide stakeholder updates.
• Maintain contract records, documentation, and develop templates aligned with U.S. legal standards.
• Support vendor governance and risk management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) from a recognized institution.
• Active membership in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
• At least 4 years of contract review experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. commercial contract law.
