Construction Supervisor – Estimation Specialist

About the role

Amentum is seeking a BOSC Construction Supervisor to lead cost estimating for construction and engineering projects. The role involves preparing accurate labor, equipment, subcontractor, and material cost proposals based on RFP data and supporting both domestic and international government contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze specifications, blueprints, and bills of material to calculate production costs.
• Collect cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Create and maintain historical cost databases and cost models.
• Prepare and revise estimates as project scope changes.
• Mentor junior estimators and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Coordinate with department leads to ensure timely, compliant estimate submissions.
• Support QA/QC processes and review manufacturing parts lists for accuracy.
• Interface with government auditors for pre‑award and post‑award price audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of construction or government estimation experience.
• Strong understanding of the proposal process and cost‑reimbursable estimate submission.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
