About the role
The University of Central Florida’s Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) team is seeking a detail‑oriented Construction Project Coordinator I. This position supports the full lifecycle of design and construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and smooth hand‑offs.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate assignment and tracking of design and construction projects in partnership with PDC leadership.
- Manage project initiation, workflow progression, and final close‑out activities, including financial and cost record verification.
- Research, analyze, and prepare reports, plans, and documentation for capital projects and institutional requirements.
- Maintain and administer the department’s project management system, ensuring data integrity and proper user access.
- Provide operational support to project managers, troubleshoot processes, and improve forms and procedures.
- Handle internal and external document requests, enforce non‑disclosure agreements, and oversee digital archiving, retention, retrieval, and authorized destruction of records.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Required skills
- Proficiency with project management software.
- Experience in records and document management.
