Construction Estimator (Morning Shift/Work From Home)

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Surveyor / Construction Estimator to work remotely on Australian projects. The role combines on‑site quality assurance with pre‑construction cost estimating for residential and light‑commercial projects, following Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, surveys and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
• Review architectural, structural and engineering drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Monitor construction activities, materials and workmanship to verify adherence to approved plans and quality standards.
• Perform detailed quantity take‑offs and prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, plant and subcontractor packages.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender submissions and estimating reports.
• Obtain, review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify defects, non‑conformities, scope gaps, risks and inconsistencies in construction and tender documentation.
• Recommend corrective actions and apply value‑engineering principles to improve cost efficiency.
• Maintain quality assurance reports, inspection records, cost databases and estimating documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, project managers, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve quality and costing issues.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented professional with experience in construction quality assurance and cost estimating for residential and light‑commercial projects in Australia.
