Construction Coordinator – 3 Year Fixed Term

About the role

OceanaGold is seeking a qualified and reliable Construction Coordinator on a three‑year fixed‑term contract to support the Didipio underground mine in the Philippines. Reporting to the Superintendent – Construction, you will mentor construction work groups, ensure compliance with HSE policies, and coordinate site activities to minimise impact on operations.

Key responsibilities

• Promote safety, health and environmental awareness to prevent injuries and damage.
• Assist the Construction Superintendent in identifying resource skills and allocating them to capital works.
• Participate in schedule and estimate development for capital projects.
• Engage in design review, focusing on implementation and constructability issues.
• Monitor site activities, report progress against approved schedules, and flag non‑conformance issues.
• Identify and implement efficiencies to aid project delivery.
• Maintain daily records of work management, incidents, progress, delays and milestones.
• Ensure housekeeping around construction works is kept to a high standard.
• Provide data for tracking and reporting against schedule for all projects.

Required profile

• Suitable qualifications and experience in construction coordination, preferably in a mining environment.
• Ability to mentor and monitor construction work groups.
• Strong understanding of HSE policies and procedures.
• Proven capability to manage capital works, schedules and budgets.
• Excellent communication skills to keep the Construction Superintendent informed of all relevant matters.
