Commercial Excellence Manager – Air Logistics

About the role

Teleport is seeking a Commercial Excellence Manager to lead airline cargo sales and end‑to‑end cargo solutions across scheduled and charter flights. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring regulatory and operational compliance while supporting the company’s IPO journey.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new airline cargo customers and grow revenue from existing accounts to meet sales, volume, and yield targets.
• Own a portfolio of key cargo accounts and be fully accountable for commercial performance.
• Develop and execute sales strategies by route, customer segment, and capacity availability.
• Proactively sell priority products, guaranteed space, special cargo, and charter solutions to maximize yield.
• Lead space allocation and booking decisions, balancing demand, yield, and operational constraints.
• Collaborate with cargo operations and network teams to optimise load factors and flight utilisation.
• Support charter cargo planning, including customer sourcing, pricing, and space commitments.
• Ensure all shipments comply with Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), airline policies, and packaging standards.
• Oversee export documentation and customs coordination with customers and ground handlers.
• Act as the commercial escalation point for shipment issues, delays, or service failures.
• Maintain accurate reporting and performance management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in airline cargo sales and revenue generation.
• Strong commercial negotiation and relationship‑building skills with freight forwarders, shippers, and logistics partners.
• Ability to make fast, data‑informed decisions and follow through on reporting and documentation.
• Understanding of operational constraints and capacity management in air logistics.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).
• Familiarity with airline policies, packaging standards, and export documentation.
• Experience coordinating customs procedures and handling commercial escalations.
