Claims Support (Remote, Philippines)

About the role

Hunt St, which helps Australian companies hire remote talent in the Philippines, is recruiting an experienced Claims Support professional for an Australian insurance brokerage. You will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor, working remotely from home. The role covers claims lodgement and management for both commercial and domestic claims, from initial notification to resolution, and requires genuine hands-on experience.

The schedule should align with Australian business hours (roughly 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor you have flexibility in how you manage your time. The pay is $1,500 to $2,000 AUD per month.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and support claims lodgement and management from initial notification through to resolution.
• Liaise with Account Brokers and insurers, giving updates and answering enquiries.
• Prepare, review and maintain claims documentation and correspondence.
• Follow up insurers and assessors to keep claims progressing on time.
• Interpret policy wordings, Product Disclosure Statements and other insurance documents to support claims handling.
• Maintain accurate claims records in broking systems and identify missing information with clients.
• Provide administrative support to the wider broking team and handle claims and client communications accurately and within timeframes.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience with claims lodgement and management, covering commercial and domestic claims.
• Experience in an Australian brokerage environment and managing client correspondence throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Ability to work independently and update clients, brokers and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Insight or similar insurance broking platforms.
• Understanding of insurance policy wording and PDS documents.
• Attention to detail, organisation and strong client communication skills.
