Chief Finance Officer (CFO) – Remote

About the role

The Chief Finance Officer will own financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting and cash flow for a fast‑growing remote recruiting firm. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will act as a strategic partner in all major business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain annual financial plans, long‑range projections and rolling forecasts.
• Lead the budgeting process, monitor variances and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Manage daily cash flow, working capital and ensure timely payroll for internal staff and outsourced professionals.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, executive dashboards and KPI reports.
• Provide strategic finance advice to the CEO on pricing, investments, financing and M&A opportunities.
• Establish internal controls, oversee month‑end close, and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Design finance SOPs, evaluate and implement finance systems and AI‑driven automation.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience (CFO, VP Finance, Finance Director or FP&A Lead) in a growing service‑based or US‑focused company.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, accrual accounting and month‑end close processes.
• Proven ability to build robust financial models, budgets and multi‑scenario forecasts.
• Strong cash‑flow management track record in scaling businesses.
