Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Role

About the role

This hands‑on commercial finance position sits at the intersection of financial planning and business performance, building and maintaining financial models, coordinating budgets and forecasts, and partnering with business leaders to drive revenue, cost, and profitability decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a financial model grounded in key revenue and cost drivers to support budgets, rolling forecasts and scenario planning.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes, working with leaders to develop assumptions, challenge inputs and translate plans into financial targets.
• Develop business‑division P&Ls, establish consistent revenue and cost allocations, track profitability and explain performance against budget and forecast.
• Analyse revenue performance across programmatic advertising, social media, direct sales, syndication and upcoming subscription offerings.
• Partner with team leaders to create metrics linking costs and resources to output, quality and commercial results.
• Deliver clear reporting and practical recommendations to improve margins, allocate resources and assess new initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in FP&A, commercial finance or financial modelling, with ownership of budgets and forecasts.
• Proven ability to build financial models from the ground up, linking revenue and cost assumptions to business performance.
• Strong management reporting and profitability analysis skills, including business‑division P&Ls and variance explanations.
• Commercial mindset with experience turning financial and operational data into actionable recommendations.
• Independent, hands‑on approach, comfortable structuring incomplete data and managing competing priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets for building accurate, maintainable models.
