CAD Specialist – Engineering Drawing Production

About the role

We are looking for a CAD Specialist to produce accurate engineering drawings for our projects in Pasig City. The role involves preparing, checking, and maintaining CAD documentation in line with SMEC standards, supporting design engineers throughout the drawing lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering CAD drawings and ensure timely completion for assigned projects.
• Maintain both soft and hard copy CAD project documentation for future reference.
• Study design sketches, notes, and related material, raising any unclear or incorrect items with the Design Engineer.
• Plan drawing sheets, scales, and sequencing, obtain approval from the CAD Manager, and use the latest road alignment/3D model as a base.
• Produce sketches and calculations when required, and keep them for reference.
• Print hard copies, verify dimensions, chainages, elevations, sections and details, and provide check prints to the Design Engineer and CAD Manager.
• Incorporate marked‑up corrections, verify changes, and update original drawings.
• Follow all SMEC CAD procedures and standards, audit drawings, and ensure work of other CAD specialists complies with those standards.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented professional with strong ability to interpret design sketches and engineering notes.
• Good communication skills to discuss unclear items with design engineers and CAD managers.
• Ability to follow established CAD standards and procedures.
• Experience in managing CAD documentation and performing drawing audits.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
