Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer is responsible for converting authorized purchase requests into purchase orders quickly, cost‑effectively, and in line with the company’s budget. The role also ensures that all suppliers and contractors meet the company’s safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Source and tabulate bids for assigned category items.
• Work with requisitioning departments to verify item specifications, urgency, and quantities.
• Engage at least three suppliers to obtain quotations and offers.
• Monitor purchase requests and orders to guarantee timely processing and delivery.
• Maintain supplier records, including enrollment, deactivation, and cost updates.
• Enforce strict compliance of suppliers and contractors with safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of Industrial Engineering or a four‑year Business degree.
• Experience in purchasing and e‑bidding procedures.
• Knowledge of procurement delivery, data analysis, and negotiation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
