Business Planner – Production & Supply Planning

About the role

We are looking for a Business Planner to join our planning team and drive the efficient execution of supply and production plans for our manufacturing plant(s). The role involves translating sales forecasts, orders and production data into actionable material, machine and personnel schedules while monitoring performance and identifying improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short‑term (day‑to‑day) production plans and weekly/monthly production programmes for assigned plant(s).
• Analyse sales forecasts, order books and inventory levels to generate accurate supply plans and supplier forecasts.
• Monitor key performance indicators, detect plan deviations and provide recommendations to keep operations on track.
• Calculate load‑balancing scenarios and collaborate with other plants to optimise overall production schedules.
• Initiate procurement orders and release production or transportation orders in line with the approved plan.
• Set up short‑term resource plans, track process efficiency and propose corrective actions when needed.
• Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering and Production Management to identify bottlenecks and improvement potential.

Required profile

• Experience in supply chain, production or material planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable plans.
• Good understanding of KPI monitoring and deviation analysis.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting (e.g., Excel or equivalent).
• Familiarity with production scheduling and load‑balancing calculations.
• Knowledge of procurement and inventory management processes.
