Business Development Manager – Strategic Accounts

About the role

The Business Development Manager – Strategic Accounts will drive growth for our freight forwarding and logistics business in Cebu. You will identify new prospects, secure contracts, and nurture key accounts to ensure long‑term profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify prospective clients and build corporate connections following internal SOPs.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan, including target lists, telemarketing, bidding, and acquisition strategies.
• Secure new business within the assigned territory and manage key accounts from implementation through optimization.
• Attend to RFI/RFQ requests, provide accurate pricing, and manage client expectations.
• Forecast sales, qualify prospects, and maintain high‑quality data in the CRM system.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth acquisition, transition, and service delivery.
• Analyze monthly volume, revenue, gross profit, and margin; ensure timely invoicing and DSO management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Business Development and Key Account Management within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets, winning new business, and growing existing accounts.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to follow end‑to‑end sales processes.
• Customer‑centric mindset with excellent relationship‑building capabilities.

Required skills

• CRM systems (experience with maintaining full visibility of calls, activities, and pipeline).
