Business Development Manager – Modern Trade

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager – Modern Trade to lead and expand our relationships with key supermarket and modern trade accounts in the Philippines. You will be responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring account satisfaction and delivering revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for supermarket accounts, building strong relationships with category managers and buyers.
• Develop and execute tailored sales strategies, promotions and product launches for each account.
• Achieve or exceed sales targets through data‑driven planning and performance tracking.
• Conduct regular account reviews to optimise pricing, assortment and merchandising.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and promotional agreements to ensure mutual profitability.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform account strategies.
• Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing and brand teams to align execution and drive results.

Required profile

• Proven sales and negotiation success in modern trade or FMCG environments.
• Strong understanding of supermarket operations and category management in the Philippine retail landscape.
• Analytical mindset with ability to turn data into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
