Business Controller – Global Transformation & Change

About the role

The Business Controller – Global Transformation & Change will join ING's COO/CTO Finance team, providing financial oversight and strategic advice for the bank’s worldwide transformation initiatives. Working closely with senior leaders across Operations, Technology, Finance and Transformation, you will help shape investment decisions and value realization.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted partner to senior management, delivering financial analysis that informs strategic and tactical decisions.
• Oversee financial governance and performance management of ING’s global transformation portfolio.
• Monitor transformation investments, track value realization, and ensure alignment with program objectives.
• Prepare and deliver portfolio‑level reporting, including forecasts, business case assessments and performance dashboards.
• Support the Group COO/CTO, Transformation Lead Committee and executive leadership with insights on financial performance and investment priorities.

Required profile

• Experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial control, investment governance and strategic advisory.
• Proven ability to partner with cross‑functional stakeholders and influence senior decision‑makers.
• Excellent analytical mindset with the capacity to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
