Business Analyst (Pharmacy – Prior Authorization)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a pharmacy focus to translate business needs into clear software requirements. The role supports the implementation and enhancement of pharmacy clinical programs, especially within the prior‑authorization workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and define optimal software solutions.
• Document detailed application requirements for pharmacy and prior‑authorization processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are reflected in system design and testing.
• Act as the primary liaison between end‑users and technical staff, addressing questions and issues.
• Support the rollout and continuous improvement of pharmacy clinical programs related to prior authorization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of business analysis experience, preferably in healthcare or pharmacy settings.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving, facilitation and analytical abilities.
• Hands‑on experience with pharmacy scripting and prior‑authorization processes.
• Solid understanding of pharmacology, drug classifications, prescribing practices and medication usage.
