Business Analyst (Pharmacy – Prior Authorization)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a pharmacy focus to translate business needs into clear software requirements. You will work closely with programming teams and end‑users to ensure the prior‑authorization process supports our clinical pharmacy programs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and define optimal software solutions.
• Document detailed application requirements for pharmacy prior‑authorization workflows.
• Collaborate with developers to incorporate requirements into system design and testing.
• Serve as the primary liaison between users and technical teams, addressing questions and issues.
• Support implementation and enhancement of pharmacy clinical programs related to prior authorization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of business analysis experience, preferably in healthcare or pharmacy settings.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Problem‑solving, facilitation, and analytical abilities.
• Hands‑on experience with pharmacy scripting and prior‑authorization processes.
• Solid understanding of pharmacology, drug classifications, prescribing practices, and medication usage.
