Billing & Collections Manager

About the role

The Billing & Collections Manager leads the end‑to‑end billing and receivables function, ensuring timely invoicing, efficient cash collection, and strong credit risk management. This position drives process improvements, maintains compliance, and supports the organization’s cash‑flow objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing and collection operations, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead collection efforts to meet company cash‑flow targets and monitor key metrics such as collection efficiency and AR aging.
• Review and approve statements of account, demand letters, and cancellation notices before client distribution.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve billing and collection processes while ensuring adherence to internal controls.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Service to streamline workflows and enhance the customer experience.
• Prepare and enhance management reports, monitor delinquent accounts, and escalate issues to senior management or Legal as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in billing, collections or accounts receivable, including 2–3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of billing systems, AR processes, and credit/collection policies.
• Proven leadership, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and attention‑to‑detail.
