Back-End Engineer – Hybrid (Cebu)

About the role

MicroSourcing is looking for a skilled Back-End Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance server‑side services. You will work in a hybrid setting from Cebu, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable APIs and micro‑services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Build and maintain database schemas using relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) technologies.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and responsiveness of distributed systems.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring for production stability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Proven experience with RESTful APIs and micro‑services architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
