Back End Developer

About the role

Singlife Philippines is looking for a skilled Back End Developer to own the server‑side of its mobile‑first insurance platform. You will write JavaScript code using Node.js, translate product requirements into robust services, and ensure high performance and security across the application.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the back‑end system, updating existing code as needed.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver features that meet business requirements.
• Write clear, reusable, and well‑documented code.
• Automate development processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement performance improvements and optimisations.
• Identify bottlenecks, debug issues, and apply fixes.
• Test, validate, and deploy applications for multiple platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in the Insurtech sector is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data security principles.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced start‑up environment.
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong analytical skills.
