Australian Tax Accountant (Remote – Philippines)

About the role

We are looking for an Australian Tax Accountant to join our team of top‑tier talent supporting a leading Big 4 firm. Based in the Philippines with a hybrid work‑from‑home setup, you will deliver high‑quality Australian accounting and tax services to international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Australian financial statements for multiple entity structures and ensure audit readiness.
• Process journals in client accounting systems and compile supporting workpapers.
• Prepare and review Australian income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) in line with GST compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with the Australian Taxation Office on client matters and provide advisory support.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Exposure to SME and mid‑market clients with turnover between AUD 5 M and 100 M+.
• Proven experience preparing Australian financial statements, tax workpapers and income tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, GST and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, research and communication abilities.
