Associate Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support with a focus on corporate, contracts and regulatory matters. The successful candidate will ensure that all company transactions and agreements comply with applicable laws and help mitigate legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze legal and policy issues and provide strategic counsel.
• Ensure all transactions and agreements are within the legal framework.
• Anticipate and guard against potential legal risks.
• Represent the company or its officials in various legal proceedings.
• Prepare, draft, and review contracts and other business documents.
• Write and administer client contracts.
• Develop and recommend improvements to legal documents, contracts, forms, and instruments.
• Write, review, and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents.
• Prepare briefs and other legal filings.
• Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, orders, and legal issues.
• Gain a thorough understanding of the company’s business, markets, facilities, customers, and competitors to identify trends and formulate strategies.
• Negotiate business agreements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of Bachelor of Laws from a reputable law school.
• Must have passed the Philippine Bar.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry with exposure to joint ventures.
