Independence Manager

About the role

PWC is seeking an Independence Manager to lead its independence, ethics and business conduct function. The role focuses on developing and implementing policies that ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of integrity across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain independence and ethics policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and internal codes of conduct.
• Lead projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Coach and mentor team members, promoting continuous learning and performance excellence.
• Address conflicts, conduct difficult conversations with stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary.
• Uphold professional and technical standards, referencing PwC guidance and independence requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree; professional certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in compliance, risk management or related fields.
• Strong analytical abilities and a track record of delivering high‑quality client outcomes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
