Associate Director, Talent Acquisition

About the role

The Associate Director, Talent Acquisition provides strategic oversight for end‑to‑end talent solutions across multiple business units and geographies. You will shape the TA strategy, ensure enterprise alignment, and drive high‑quality recruitment outcomes in a fast‑paced technical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve TA strategy aligned with business objectives, establishing scalable operating models and governance frameworks.
• Own hiring outcomes for assigned units, translating workforce plans into executable hiring strategies while ensuring compliance with Optum standards.
• Lead, coach, and performance‑manage a team of Recruiters, fostering capability development and retention.
• Act as a trusted hiring advisor to business and technology leaders, providing market insights and influencing hiring decisions.
• Optimize recruitment KPIs such as time‑to‑fill, quality of hires, candidate experience and cost per hire.
• Drive innovation using technology and AI to improve sourcing, screening and hiring processes.
• Manage recruiter capacity, workload distribution and support cost‑effective hiring aligned with budget.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of progressive recruitment or talent acquisition experience in global capability centers or technology service providers.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale hiring outcomes and managing high‑performing recruitment teams.
• Strong stakeholder partnership skills and ability to influence senior business leaders.
