Associate Accountant – Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Associate Accountant will support Surbana Jurong’s finance function across its branches and subsidiaries. The role involves accurate data entry in the ERP system, preparation of routine reconciliations, and assistance with month‑end close, audit and tax activities.

Key responsibilities

• Enter financial transactions into the ERP system with high accuracy and resolve any posting issues.
• Prepare basic monthly bank, balance‑sheet and other reconciliations and obtain required approvals.
• Assist in the month‑end close process to meet deadlines.
• Validate supporting documents, organise files for audit purposes and support audit submissions.
• Generate recurring reports and maintain up‑to‑date financial data.
• Liaise with finance teams, corporate helpdesk and other stakeholders to ensure correct postings.
• Identify and propose basic accounting entries, escalating complex issues as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Management Accounting.
• 1‑3 years of experience in project accounting, general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, audit or accounts payable.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet competing deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using SAP (minimum one year) or other ERP systems.
• Familiarity with ERP‑based financial reporting.
