Assistant Manager Internal Audit

About the role

The Assistant Manager Internal Audit will lead fraud‑focused audit activities across the Group, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. This role combines risk assessment, audit planning, and investigative work to safeguard the organization against fraud and operational weaknesses.

Key responsibilities

• Identify key business risks and fraud‑related controls, and develop audit plans based on findings.
• Perform risk‑based audit assignments covering financial, operational, and business processes, with a focus on fraud detection.
• Conduct ad‑hoc fraud investigations and audits triggered by whistleblowing or special management requests.
• Review existing policies and procedures for compliance gaps and recommend improvements to senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Lead interviews with operations personnel to understand processes and uncover potential fraud risks.
• Review audit working papers and findings prepared by team members to ensure thorough analytical review of fraud risks.
• Prepare and present audit reports, including fraud‑related findings and actionable recommendations, to the Audit Committee.
• Follow up on agreed action plans to verify effective implementation of fraud‑related recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or finance.
• CPA, CIA, CFE or equivalent professional designation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing internal audit assignments with a strong focus on fraud detection, investigation, or prevention.
• Strong command of English.
• Fundamental understanding of IIA Standards and the Code of Ethics, especially fraud‑related auditing standards.
