Assistant Environmental Consultant

About the role

Arup is seeking an experienced Assistant Environmental Consultant to join its Manila office. You will support the delivery of high‑quality environmental and social (E&S) services for a diverse portfolio of clients, taking on meaningful responsibilities from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Assist project teams with all aspects of E&S assessments, including field surveys, site investigations, and stakeholder engagements.
• Prepare permit applications, technical reports, environmental strategies, and corporate reporting documents.
• Encode and analyse survey data, conduct desk studies, and perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
• Support both statutory and non‑statutory impact assessments and contribute to the preparation of submission packages for planning authorities.
• Liaise with external parties to ensure client needs and project requirements are clearly understood.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental impact assessments, environmental design, resettlement action plans, modelling, or public engagement.
• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field; postgraduate studies are a plus.
• Familiarity with environmental assessment practices and stakeholder engagement procedures in the Philippines.
• Strong technical writing, analytical and presentation abilities.
• Self‑starter, adaptable team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Filipino (Tagalog); other Filipino dialects are advantageous.
