Architect II – Retail

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a mid‑level Architect II to join its retail design team. The role involves supporting data collection, developing design solutions, and documenting findings as an integrated member of the delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Apply sustainable development principles to architectural projects.
• Conduct advanced research, data gathering, and analysis.
• Develop proficiency with relevant desktop applications and digital tools.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain awareness of Arcadis financial metrics and business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related discipline.
• Licensed architect status or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of architectural design experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with K‑12 education projects and US International Building Code is a plus.

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Revit (including add‑ins)
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Lumion and Enscape
• Navisworks (clash detection)
• C++, Python, Dynamo (programming for automation)
• BREEAM and LEED certification knowledge
• International Building Code (IBC) awareness
