APIC Developer – Design & Support Enterprise APIs

About the role

We are looking for an experienced APIC Developer to design, develop, implement and support enterprise‑level APIs using IBM API Connect and related integration technologies. The role supports our banking applications and ensures seamless integration with core banking, payment gateways and fintech platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs with IBM API Connect.
• Configure and manage IBM DataPower gateways and API policies.
• Handle the full API lifecycle: creation, publishing, versioning, monitoring and retirement.
• Implement security protocols such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect and TLS/mTLS.
• Integrate APIs with core banking systems, mobile banking apps and third‑party fintech services.
• Develop message transformations using JSON, XML, XSLT or JavaScript.
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity and gateway issues.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, QA and business teams.
• Prepare technical documentation including HLD, LLD and API specifications.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–7+ years of experience in API/integration development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower.
• Experience in digital banking, payments and Open Banking APIs.
