AI Developer – Build LLM‑Powered Applications

About the role

Roar Apex is seeking an AI Developer to design, develop, and deploy AI‑powered applications that leverage large language models (LLMs). You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, turning business needs into intelligent solutions that improve user experience and product performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI‑driven features using LLM platforms such as Claude, OpenAI, or similar.
• Build and optimise prompt workflows, AI agents, and retrieval‑based systems.
• Implement Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and context‑management solutions.
• Integrate AI capabilities with internal systems and third‑party APIs.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into AI‑enabled solutions.
• Evaluate, test, and monitor model performance, accuracy and reliability.
• Troubleshoot AI service issues and ensure robust application functionality.
• Stay current with AI advancements and recommend adoption of new tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience building applications with LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic Claude, OpenAI).
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs using modern frameworks.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI workflows, and LLM application development.
• Understanding of RAG, vector search, embeddings, and related AI concepts.
• Solid grasp of software development best practices, including testing, version control and code reviews.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
