Accounting Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support our accounts payable and junior accounting functions. The role involves processing invoices, reconciling records, and assisting with audit and general accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, match them with purchase orders and receipts, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare payment documents, perform account reconciliations, and assist in accounts payable reporting.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
• Review daily sales and payment transactions for accuracy and reconcile SAP and Octopus records.
• Prepare and submit monthly sales, audit, and accounting reports.
• Conduct branch audits, inventory checks, and follow up on audit findings.
• Record and monitor sales, deposits, and collections; perform bank reconciliations and verify account balances.
• Support month‑end closing activities and basic financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of accounting experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
• Ability to work well with different teams.
