Accounting and Reporting Expert II

About the role

ING is looking for an Accounting and Reporting Expert to join its Global Finance Services team in Manila. The role supports key accounting and reporting activities across ING's global operations, helping deliver accurate financial information, support reporting obligations, maintain strong controls and comply with accounting standards and ING reporting requirements. The team works with colleagues in Amsterdam and Manila.

Key responsibilities

• Execute product and general ledger accounting activities
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare financial, regulatory and management reports
• Perform intercompany and cash reconciliations
• Manage invoices, accruals and asset management accounting
• Investigate accounting breaks and provide accounting advice
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and ING reporting frameworks
• Support reporting projects, process improvements and business initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver accounting and reporting requirements on time

Required profile

• Experience in financial, management or regulatory reporting
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial close processes
• Experience with account reconciliations, including intercompany and cash reconciliations
• Ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues
• Experience with policies, controls and compliance requirements
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and prioritisation skills

Required skills

• Preparation of financial reports, management information and reporting dashboards
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Interest in continuous improvement of processes and controls
