Accountant – Remote (Philippines)

About the role

SOFRA is seeking a fluent‑English accountant to join its remote accounting team in the Philippines. You will work directly with the board of directors and support the financial operations of its hotel and real‑estate portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bank page checks and post transactions in Opera PMS.
• Reconcile receipt discrepancies and investigate issues.
• Prepare accounts receivable aging schedules and monitor past‑due accounts.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable ledgers for each hotel.
• Generate internal reports and statements for monitoring purposes.
• Contact clients to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
• Collaborate with hotel managers, accounts payable, and other accounting staff to ensure financial accuracy.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA); CPA preferred.
• Previous experience in accounting or management control.
• Advanced English proficiency; basic French is a plus.
• Strong teamwork experience and willingness to learn.
• Autonomous, versatile, and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Sage accounting software (preferred).
• Yooz accounting software (preferred).
• Opera PMS for transaction posting.
• Microsoft Word.
• Microsoft Excel.
