Accountant (GL)

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will manage the company’s core accounting records, ensuring accurate posting, reconciliation, and compliance with GAAP and local standards. This position supports financial reporting, tax filing, and audit activities within a multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, reconcile, and balance the general ledger, preparing journal entries for accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
• Perform monthly GL account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support month‑end close.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Prepare tax filings for compensation taxes, expanded withholding taxes, VAT, and corporate income tax.
• Provide documentation and schedules for internal, external, and BIR tax audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase GL efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
