Software/Automation Engineer – Power Platform & Python

About the role

Join RTX’s Collins Aerospace division as a Software/Automation Engineer, building enterprise‑grade applications that power aerospace and defense solutions. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with business analysts and project managers to turn complex requirements into secure, scalable digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain applications on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI).
• Create and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Develop system integrations using REST APIs and automate data migration, reporting and processing with Python.
• Build metadata‑driven solutions, workflow automation, and governance frameworks to reduce future development effort.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications, support testing, deployment and production rollout.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation and enforce enterprise standards for security, scalability and business continuity.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale digital transformation projects.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise workflow, governance or portfolio management systems is a plus.
