Senior Finance Analyst – Projects & Joint Ventures

About the role

The Senior Analyst, Finance I+E will provide high‑quality financial advice and support to key business stakeholders across SMEC Philippines. The role focuses on project governance, joint ventures, alliances, financial auditing and performance reporting, ensuring compliance with corporate values and ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Support project teams with budgeting, financial planning and month‑end performance reporting.
• Analyse project data, cost allocation, earned value and scenario analyses to inform decision‑making.
• Manage lock‑up processes, invoice preparation and cash‑flow oversight in line with contractual timelines.
• Provide commercial guidance to minimise risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with financial information provision, charge rules, calculations and cost data for project requirements.
• Support major projects, joint ventures and alliances with cost monitoring, consolidation, invoicing and audit activities.
• Facilitate training on financial systems and tools for team members and new starters.
• Handle finance‑related queries, including accounts payable/receivable and general finance duties.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure financial reporting aligns with contractual obligations and develop financial plans and business tools.
• Participate in due‑diligence and integration activities for new business units.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience in a similar corporate finance role.
• Strong understanding of cost‑control principles and commercial risk management.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills across a group environment.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes.
