Intern, Training and Certification

About the role

The Intern, Training and Certification assists in developing, coordinating and administering training programs and certification processes at the El Carmen Manufacturing Facility. It offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting while supporting employee skill development and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update training materials such as presentations, manuals and online modules, keeping them accurate and aligned with operational procedures.
• Schedule and coordinate training sessions, communicate with participants, secure locations and prepare equipment.
• Maintain training records and certification documentation so that data is accurate, up to date and easy to access.
• Administer and score certification assessments, give feedback to participants and document results.
• Work with department managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs and build relevant curriculum.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.
• Support new employee onboarding with initial training and orientation.
• Perform other administrative tasks for the training department as needed.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience or coursework in training and development is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
