DevOps Engineer (Remote, Philippines)

About the role

BrightLocal is seeking an experienced DevOps / Systems Engineer to join its remote DevOps team. You will help strengthen, automate, and continuously improve the company’s production infrastructure while supporting day‑shift operations for the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance Linux/Unix production environments.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using shell and Python scripting.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with Ansible, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Work with Docker containers, networking, databases, and hardware components.
• Troubleshoot issues across the stack and ensure high availability.
• Occasionally travel to the Valencia City office or data centre as needed.

Required profile

• Extensive Linux/Unix administration experience.
• Proficiency in shell and Python scripting for automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Ansible and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Solid understanding of Docker, networking, databases, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Comfort using AI tools to boost productivity and quality.
• Strong communication, teamwork, ownership, and a continuous‑learning mindset.
